Launching Boords: Storyboarding made simple

At Animade, we make a lot of storyboards. We've lost count of the hours spent importing images into InDesign, outputting it as a PDF then sending it off. And even that pales in comparison to the time it takes to go in and move frames around when changes are needed.

To put an end to this misery, we've been working on a new web-based app which makes storyboarding simple. It's called Boords.

We've been using it for client projects for a few months now, and in that time it's saved us an enourmous amount of hassle and has gone from being an experimantal side project to a core part of our workflow. We really believe this is something which can help creatives, and are excited to be putting it out into the world.

We're currenly in private alpha while we squash some bugs and generally apply the polish necessary to take something from an internal tool to being real-world ready. The plan is to release the app as a public beta in the coming weeks.

If you're interested in following along with our progress we'll be blogging about it at, and tweeting about what we get up to @boordsapp.
